If you’ve found your way to this blog in search of insights into Rudraksha, you’ve landed in the perfect spot. With a rich history of crafting Rudraksha Malas and other Rudraksha jewellery dating back to 2000, our journey has gifted us with knowledge and experiences that we are eager to share with everyone.
What Is Rudraksha?
It’s a plant that bears fruits. Elaeocarpus is the scientific family name of the tree. Elaeocarpus is a combination of two Greek words, Elaei which means – Wild olive, Carpus – fruit. These trees can grow up to 25 metres tall, with small round fruit and delicate flowers. It is important to highlight that the genus Elaeocarpus ganitrus Roxb, which are found mainly in Nepal, Malaysia and Indonesia are the Rudraksha beads used in the making of malas and other jewellery.
The Science of Rudraksha
The story about Rudraksha holds close association with Lord Shiva - one of the three main Hindu gods - because legend says that the first Rudraksha tree grew from the tears of Shiva, hence the name. Rudra = Shiva, Aksha = eyes.
So it’s natural if it comes as a surprise that this botanical wonder has other significance beyond its role in Hindu mythology. The leaves of the Rudraksha plant possess natural anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, making them invaluable for wound healing and potential alleviation of conditions such as epilepsy, migraines and headaches. The work carried out by University of Mumbai from the year 2005 onwards has found the bead is useful in cases of diabetes, cardiac ailments, inflammation and for memory enhancement. Rudraksha contains indolizidine alkaloids which is reported as a promising constituent for the treatment of HIV/AIDS. Research paper from The Benaras Hindu University - although preliminary - also brings some interesting points about the electromagnetic properties of Rudraksha when worn or held between fingers.
The Face of Rudraksha
Rudraksha seeds have a textured surface and if you look closer you can see a different compartment alongside its facade. This is what we call Mukhi and they vary from Ek Mukhi to 21 Mukhi as well as rare shaped Rudraksha such as Gauri Shankar, Ganesh Mukhi, Savar and Trimurti. How To Care for Rudraksha
With prolonged daily wear, Rudraksha beads gradually darken in colour as they absorb body oils, which is a desired outcome. If you frequently wear your Rudraksha while swimming in chlorinated pools or the ocean, you may notice that the beads appear dry. You can apply a small amount of almond or jojoba oil to the beads once in a while to help preserve their durability and shine.
It is safe to say that Rudraksha is a true bio - jewellery. More than that, they are sacred seeds that carry spiritual legacy. Through the ages, they have whispered tales of healing, enlightenment and devotion. As we navigate the complexities of the modern world, the timeless wisdom of Rudraksha continues to guide us towards inner peace and growth. Whether you seek their spiritual energies or simply appreciate their natural beauty, Rudraksha beads remain a source of inspiration and connection. May they bring you the blessings and insights you seek on your unique journey.

The “Island of the Gods” has a unique culture all of its own, a very particular and powerful cultural heritage. Balinese Hinduism (or Agama Hindu Dharma) mixes aspects of Buddhism, Hinduism and animism, which is the belief that souls and spirits can be found in all things. Balinese Hinduism comes from the religious influences of China, India and Java.
One of the central beliefs of Balinese Hinduism is that the soul (atman) is reincarnated several times until it reaches paradise. This journey depends upon the person's deeds, both good and bad, during his or her lifetime.
Instead of having set periods of time devoted to their religion, Balinese Hindus incorporate their religion into every aspect of their lives. Their lives are filled with religious rituals, such as making offerings, and they strive to maintain balance between good and evil and the gods and demons in order to prevent chaos.
Spirituality permeates almost every aspect of Balinese life.
Bali is a sacred place that has a very particular energy. In Balinese culture there is no real distinction between the secular and the religious so the supernatural is often a part of everyday life and beliefs. You cannot avoid noticing the deep connection the Balinese have with the spiritual world. Bali inspires you and people often feel more connected to themselves than ever. Bali is Art. Temples, offerings, arts and crafts are all signs of the island's faith.
Offerings
Walk down any street on Bali, and the first thing you’ll see by your feet are the daily canang – or small, square, woven baskets made from coconut leaves and filled with flowers and gifts for the Gods and topped with a stick of incense. In their simplicity, these modest but beautifully crafted offerings made to gain the favour of the gods encapsulate Bali’s unique fusion of Hinduism.
Ceremonies
Ceremonies or “upacara” are a major aspect of the Balinese lifestyle and culture. They are the origin of various important cycles: the lunar cycle, the rice-growing cycle, and the cycle of human life. From birth to death the Balinese celebrate a variety of events and rites, that they believe will guide the soul through the numerous stages of life. Birth, childhood, adolescence, marriage and death are the main stages that are consistently celebrated by Balinese.
The grassroots ‘World Silent Day’ – proposed during the United Nations’ Climate Change Conference of 2007, and now celebrated every year on March 21st – was inspired by Nyepi Silent Day, Bali’s unique take on a greener, cleaner, more peaceful planet.
In Bali, we believe in Karma
Karma is a Sanskrit word meaning action, work or deed. It is about believing in a cycle of cause and effect or a ‘universe system’ of what you will get is what you have done. That’s the concept of karma. Here, in Bali, it is a very important aspect of people’s life. Balinese believe in samsara or reincarnation, and that our karma in previous life can bring effect to ours in present life. The same cycle goes as well to your next life.
Love, feel, vibrate, experience and Bali will cherish you and change you forever.

A well-balanced life is essential for personal effectiveness, peace of mind and living well. We all have responsibilities but the challenge of living a balanced life is to coordinate what we must do with what we want to do.
It’s important to understand that others cannot do this for us. No one can think, breathe, feel, act, or love for us. It’s up to us to balance all the different aspects of our lives. We just have to decide to do it. Living an unbalanced life can impact your physical and emotional wellbeing. Being balanced is a gift to your body, mind and spirit: Once balanced you will feel calm, grounded, clear-headed, healthy and motivated.
Analyse yourself and set the intention to evolve
Assessing ourselves is the first step for change in our life. If you feel physically exhausted, mentally stagnant or struggling in your relationships you might live a life out of balance. To evolve in the right direction, you have to make a conscious decision to change. Set an intention of what it is that you want to balance in your life and stick to that decision. Start to remind yourself of this decision daily and start to feel the balance return. (A mala, as a sacred object, can be your daily reminder of your intention).
Set goals in every area of your life
Look at the desired results you want to achieve in order to help you decide in which ways you want to balance your life. Make a list of these desired results
Mind: Challenge yourself intellectually but don’t neglect your rest to allow space for creativity
Heart: Give love without expectations and open yourself to receive it without fear.
Health: Eat well and stay active, but allow yourself some little treats to spoil yourself from time to time
Work: Dedicate yourself to whatever you’re doing and try to achieve your goals. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself though. Enjoy the process and remember all we can ever do is our best J
Social: Satisfy your social desires but keep time for yourself to reenergise and find your inner peace.
Fun: Don’t take it all so seriously. Remember to laugh, smile and spread joy!
Believe in yourself and your decisions. Be kind to yourself always. You are perfect the way you are. An incredible individual light shining for the world to gaze upon. When you love yourself, balance will find its way into your life and help steer you towards happiness
Have an incredible month
Namaste !
]]>There some tips we recommend you to do every morning that are very simple and easy to add to your daily routine. Once settled, this will bring transformation into your life and will help you to live in the Now.
1-Express gratitude
Every new day is an opportunity to say thank you for being alive and have the chance to live another day of your life. All what we experience on this life is something to be grateful for. Everything happens for a reason. In the Balinese culture, we believe in Karma, in the fact that we attract what we get and that everything that happens leads to something we deserve or need to learn from. Contemplate and appreciate the universal attractive energy, the fact that something rather than nothing exists in everything and everyone around you. There is always something to be grateful for even if it can be difficult sometimes to find, but it is simply the way you decide to look at the situation. Gratitude is the answer of love and happiness.
2- Breathing will help you to connect your body and your soul
Breathing is what keeps us alive, what allows us to get oxygen. Breathing consciously is incredibly powerful and brings us into different states of consciousness. Your breath is your base; it can allow you to become the master of yourself.
Take a moment for yourself before starting your day and breath for couple of minutes. Connect to the movements of your breathing, to the rhythm of the air coming in, bringing new life, new energy and the air coming out, releasing all tensions you could keep. Feel the energy, the power of this simple moment of awareness.
3- Smile to yourself and to others
A smile is a powerful random act. It always brings you powerful positive energies. The simple fact to smile from the inside, from every organ, every part of your body can help you to calm intense emotions as anger or melancholy. It is a chemical phenomenon: the serotonin and endorphins, happiness‘ hormones, released by your brain create a calming effect on your body and mind. Smiling has been shown to reduce stress, blood pressure and boost the immune system. Smile to life and get elevated.
4 - Forgive yourself for yesterday’s mistake and focus on now
Whatever we are going through we all make mistakes. We impulsively act or react to a situation then regret. We judge ourselves believing we should have acted a different way. But we should not judge either others or ourselves. Forgiveness benefits you more than anyone else. Through acceptance and forgiveness we stop holding on to the cause of our suffering and let it go. Acknowledge that you made a mistake and while you cannot change the past, you can create a new present. Nothing is permanent.
Choose your reality ,bring awareness to your life and experience the power of now.
]]>
Let yourself be vulnerable and accept your emotions
Acceptance is the greatest desire in the world for inner-transformation. And transformation is possible only by accepting yourself unconditionally, not by only desiring it.
After many discussions, anger is the first feeling to arise. It is actually a mask you unconsciously put on to hide from yourself heavier feelings and emotions. Don’t let your Ego magnify what is happening inside you, just allow it to happen and observe it. You are not your ego, you are only the watcher. Just stand to the side and it will pass. Nothing is permanent. By forgiving, you treat yourself with love and care. You liberate yourself. It is not something you give another, it is something you offer to yourself to end your own suffering.
Be compassionate always
To be able to forgive others, it is helpful to understand where they are coming from. We judge people very easily, and we have the tendency to make assumptions about everything. The problem with making assumptions is that we believe they are the truth. But they are not and we create a lot of emotional poison just by making assumptions and taking it personally. Our world is proper to us, and everybody lives in a different dream. Be aware about this fact. Don’t make assumptions and do not take anything personally. Be compassionate, practice mercy and forgiveness will naturally arise. Mercy stops you from behaving out of fear and moves you into acting out of love. You become aware and empowered.
Finally, it doesn’t really matter if you are right or wrong, what really matters is how you carry yourself through adversity. You cannot always understand others but you can choose your perception and control yourself, trying to be impeccable with your acts and with your words. Always be gentle, to yourself and towards others.
“You have the power to take someone’s happiness by refusing to forgive. That someone is you.” – Alan Cohen
]]>
To be free, you have to commit to yourself to do so. To observe yourself and be conscious on how powerful can be your mind, on how assumptions and judgements make your life so much harder.
You can choose to be free, and mental slavery can only happen if you allow it.
Challenge your thoughts
Take time to observe your thoughts and where they are coming from. Routinely challenge your assumptions and their origins. Use your reasoning power against itself. Be honest with yourself. Recognize that your thoughts are influenced by your memories and Ego. Be willing to know the truth. Meditation practice will help you in this process.
Become aware of the power of the words
Notice which words generate strong feelings for you. Identify words that carry extra meaning for you or that may mean something different to others. Be conscious about it, react less and try to listen more objectively.
Learn to recognize when your thinking is influenced by your ego
To overcome the influence of your ego, you need to question your motivations and challenge your assumptions. Be aware that you see the world depending on your own experiences in order to be more transparent. Be open to change your mind. Be conscious that the world doesn’t revolve around you. While your believes are natural and obvious to you, they are not to others, coming from different backgrounds. Be more tolerant towards people and situations you don’t identify yourself to. Admit ignorance and be compassionate.
Never let someone think for you
There is no norm. Respect yourself and what you aspect to. Others are not better than you, don’t think better than you. You are what you are and be proud of it.
Face your fears
Realise what are your fears and analyse them. When and why this feeling is coming up. Stop serving what scares you, face it. You will not regret it. It sounds obviously scary but you will be proud of yourself.
Taking control of your mind is taking control of your life. Change your life, be aware, and happy.
« Your progress toward a mind that truly serves your highest purpose will always depend on your willingness to observe yourself. When you do that, you’ll start to see where you are giving your freedom away in bits and pieces to this or that momentary master. » - Gillman

Be aware of the power of your mind
The mind is a mechanism. It is not you. It records experiences from the outside, reacts and responds accordingly to it. But you are not this collection of impressions. Beyond the mind, there is an awareness that is not given by the outside. Wisdom consists only in one thing that is your consciousness of the separation of the mind from your being, your soul, your real individuality.
When your mind is angry, or sad, don’t let it believe this is, don't identify yourself to those emotions and feelings. It is not you, it is not your real essence. You are only the watcher, and not the actor. Don’t repress you will hurt yourself, don’t express you might hurt others, just let it be there. Just become aware, slowly go on cutting your identification with your mind.
From the darkness to the light
Choosing awareness, you are no longer in the darkness, you become the light. You are a master, not a servant. You cannot allow your mind to react automatically anymore like it used to do. You become free. And there is no blissfulness more precious than freedom, than being a master of your own destiny.
To help in the process of transformation, some practices will help you, in particular meditation.
Meditation allows you to change your conception of your mind body & spirit. The whole benefit of it is to make you aware of the existence of that mind, and how unconsciously you identify yourself with what you see, what you live and what you feel. Meditation is a radiation of your silence, your peace and your inner-wellbeing, your blissfulness. It will help you to feel unconditional love towards others, and towards yourself.
A great joy and a tranquility will arise in your being, directly from your own inner source. Be patient, and observe. Be a watcher. You will find inner peace.

Define Clearly What Is True To You
To have the courage to live a life true to yourself and not the life others expect, you need to define clearly what it is true to you. What are your own deepest values and what do they mean to you? I mean what they really represent to you not to your family or the society. Your values are who you are in your own deepest nature and not whom you think you should be in order to fit in. When the way you think, speak and behave align with your deepest values, you enjoy life and love yourself. You are happy.
Living Your Truth Will Free You
Learning how to live your truth is not about changing yourself, it is about freeing yourself. Being free makes you confident and powerful. It allows you to honour the God/Goddess within you through your thoughts, your actions and interactions. You will no longer feel guilty taking car of yourself. Living your truth allows you to think clearly, making decisions easily and establishing healthy self-care and personal boundaries.
I Am Enough
It is human nature to want to be liked and respected. We do a lot of efforts to be accepted, putting too much pressure on ourselves. Support is always good but having the confidence to accept what is right for you will help you to release from the need of approval from others. It is good enough just to be. Don’t judge yourself too hard. Always do your best. There will be days you will be up and days you will be down. Just accept it and enjoy the whole journey, you will be fine.
When you discover something that nourishes your soul, have the courage to make room for it in your life. Enjoy your journey.

Get out of your Comfort Zone
Yoga helps you to overcome your fears and self-limitations. It pushes you to explore your boundaries, constantly challenging you physically and mentally. To get the most of it, you must welcome acceptance and self-assurance in place of criticism and doubt. You must be gentle and patient with yourself. Get to your mat everyday and feel how present-minded and more connected you become day by day.

If you choose to meditate on your Mala, that is used for centuries in Hinduism and Buddhism meditation practice, we have some small advices to guide you in your practice.
Using a Mala is simple, easy, and enjoyable in meditation. It helps you to focus on your deepest intention while using appropriate mantras.
Every person has a different reason for meditating from health benefits to attaining a spiritual connection. Figuring out your intention will help you identify the best mantras to chant while you are practicing.
Using a Mala helps you while meditating. Mantra meditation is the practice of a word or phrase that you repeat. They are often sanskrit in the Buddhist and Yogic traditions. You can also use an affirmation, like the word "calm" or a healing phrase like "I love myself."
One of the goals of chanting mantras is to feel their subtle vibrations. This sensation can help you effect positive changes and enter a deep state of meditation. Each mantra has different vibrations and you want to find one that corresponds to your intention.
Repetition of mantras can help you disconnect from any thoughts that arise during meditation and also help keep you focused on your intention.
Light a candle and an incense and sit down with your Mala.
Instead of counting your mantras, hold your mala in your hand and start turning each bead from the first bead after the Guru bead with your thumb and middle finger. The index finger is not recommended to use as it represents your 'ego'. The sensation of the beads on the fingers is very relaxing, feel them, enjoy the moment and the power of now.
Once you went all the way around your Mala, give yourself a moment to be grateful, to thank universe. If you want to continue the meditation you can keep going on the opposite direction. Never go over the Guru beads.
Meditation takes consistent practice, as inner peace. You will have good days and bad days of practice. Accepting this is part of the meditation journey. Don’t judge yourself too hard. Be gentle and patient. You will find the divinity that is in you.
