How to Care for Rudraksha Beads?
Rudraksha beads hold significant spiritual value. Their use in meditation, which spans centuries in Hinduism and Buddhism, is a tangible reminder of one's deepest intentions.
Your Rudraksha malas and jewelry are sacred, sacral objects and should be handled with love, kindness, and care. Rudraksha beads and gemstones, in particular, can crack under force, especially those with natural fracture lines.
Over time, its color will naturally darken from your natural body oil absorption and store energy; it is recommended that you clean your Rudraksha beads periodically.
Wash your Rudraksha with warm water and gently brush them with a soft bristle toothbrush to clean residues. Dry them with a clean cloth and hang them to air dry. Once dry, gently massage the Rudraksha beads with natural oils like coconut or almond to nourish them.
Additionally, to rid the Rudraksha of any absorbed negativity, you can place it in the moonlight for a couple of hours or burn sage around it.
