How to live a balanced life

 A well-balanced life is essential for personal effectiveness, peace of mind and living well. We all have responsibilities but the challenge of living a balanced life is to coordinate what we must do with what we want to do.

 It’s important to understand that others cannot do this for us. No one can think, breathe, feel, act, or love for us. It’s up to us to balance all the different aspects of our lives. We just have to decide to do it. Living an unbalanced life can impact your physical and emotional wellbeing. Being balanced is a gift to your body, mind and spirit: Once balanced you will feel calm, grounded, clear-headed, healthy and motivated.

 

Analyse yourself and set the intention to evolve

Assessing ourselves is the first step for change in our life. If you feel physically exhausted, mentally stagnant or struggling in your relationships you might live a life out of balance. To evolve in the right direction, you have to make a conscious decision to change. Set an intention of what it is that you want to balance in your life and stick to that decision. Start to remind yourself of this decision daily and start to feel the balance return. (A mala, as a sacred object, can be your daily reminder of your intention).

 

Set goals in every area of your life

 Look at the desired results you want to achieve in order to help you decide in which ways you want to balance your life. Make a list of these desired results

Mind: Challenge yourself intellectually but don’t neglect your rest to allow space for creativity

Heart: Give love without expectations and open yourself to receive it without fear.

 Health: Eat well and stay active, but allow yourself some little treats to spoil yourself from time to time

 Work: Dedicate yourself to whatever you’re doing and try to achieve your goals. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself though. Enjoy the process and remember all we can ever do is our best J

Social: Satisfy your social desires but keep time for yourself to reenergise and find your inner peace.

Fun: Don’t take it all so seriously. Remember to laugh, smile and spread joy!

 Believe in yourself and your decisions. Be kind to yourself always. You are perfect the way you are. An incredible individual light shining for the world to gaze upon. When you love yourself, balance will find its way into your life and help steer you towards happiness
